09/07/2019Barikat Internet Security, has been awarded with the first rank in the category of “Security Service Provider” in “Turkey Top 500 Informatics Companies 2018”, defining the Turkish informatics industry leaders, where all cyber security solution provider companies were included.
The results of Turkey Top 500 Informatics Companies Survey was announced during the event on July 4, in the historical Grand Pera Emek Movie Theater. As the 20th anniversary this year, Top 500 Informatics Companies Survey has evaluated the companies based on their 2018 net sales income, in 48 different categories. Barikat Internet Security had 20 million Turkish lira net sales income difference to its closest competitor in “Security Service Provider” category, and 43 million Turkish lira net sales income as corporate group, resulting the first rank in “Security Service Provider” field.
Apart from getting this first rank award, although Barikat operates only in cyber security field, has achieved to hold a place among the of Turkey and in “Ankara Informatics Companies Top 10” category. In 2018, where many of top 500 Informatics Companies showed negative growth compared to 2017 USD turnovers, Barikat had USD based 24% growth.
Moreover, Barikat Information Technologies, which was established in 2017 in order to provide cyber security solutions to the corporate and private sectors in the Marmara region and to provide cyber security solutions abroad, also achieved a great success by entering the “Security Service Provider” list in the 5th rank. At the same time, Barikat IT entered the “Top 5 Fastest Growing IT Companies in the Last 1 Year” category with the 5th rank and displayed a growth of over 100% in terms of USD turnover compared to 2017.
Solution-oriented service strategy
Murat Huseyin Candan, Barikat CEO, stated that Barikat is focusing on being innovative and target-oriented in bot domestic and foreign markets, and added these; “with the difference it has created in the industry for the last decade, Barikat is moving with firm steps in both domestic and foreign markets, and puts forward its difference with innovative local/foreign technology solutions, R&D result products and services, despite the heavy competitive environment.
