Database and File Server Firewall
In many IT infrastructures, information is usually found on database servers and file servers. Institutions and organizations must protect their data against any leakage of data that may arise from internal or external threats. In particular, legislation and institutional standards (such as PDPL, GDPR ...) trigger this need.
Database servers are one of the most critical assets to be protected. It is necessary to use a database firewall to protect data against possible leaks, including database administrators. Database traffic can be examined at agent or network level (inline or sniff). In addition to these features, it is possible to monitor and protect database activities with data masking, vulnerability and compliance check, advanced reporting and many more functions.
File servers like CIFS and NFS can also host very critical data. Although the file server is protected by file system and share permissions by system administrators, occasional data leaks and losses due to configuration errors may occur. In particular, with the increase of ransomware, institutions and organizations have made serious losses. File server firewall systems, the agent or network level (inline or sniff) CIFS and NFS protocols are examined in depth. Through predefined signatures and policies, audits, warnings and barriers can be implemented for vulnerable enterprises.
